Workers from the city of Apple Valley have been working all week to remove the upper "roof" portion of the Cobblestone Lake fishing pier. The city determined that the roof section had become a danger and removal of the upper portion was essential. City officials are also working to determine the best location for an additional pier to be built in 2012 on the south west corner of the lake.
