Ski Season is near! To Buy or Not to Buy? ... a Season Pass

You may not have noticed, with the beautiful, warm, weather here in the Metro, but fall is here and winter is coming!

Ski resorts such as Afton Alps, Trollhaugen, and Spirit Mountain, are all saying they're tentatively opening around the end of November!  If you're like most people, you haven't thought of buying passes for this ski-season, yet. But the question each year for skiiers and boarders is, "TO BUY OR NOT TO BUY A SEASON PASS".

Due to the sneaky approach of winter this year we've already missed the "pre-season deals," but will it PAY OFF to buy a season pass?

Here's the simple answer...

* A season pass runs as low as $99 for a college student at Trollhaugen to as high as $449 for an adult at Afton Alps.

* An Adult daily pass runs around $40.

Do the math!

1. Use the links above to see the price for the location and access you'd like.

2. Divide this price by the price of a daily ticket (equaling how many daily tickets = price of Season Pass).

3. If the result is less than ski days desired, you should buy a season pass!

Not only do you get unlimited skiing/boarding with this pass, but you get discounts and benefits that a daily pass doesn't offer.

And if you're concerned about "variety" of resorts, I'd say the cheapest way to have variety is to pick a resort for this year, get a season pass, enjoy it all year!   And next year choose a different resort and do the same!

See you on the slopes!
