Funds available for Home Improvements to Foreclosed homes in Bloomington

Up to $20,000 is available for Bloomington residents purchasing and improving foreclosed homes.

If you are purchasing or have purchased a foreclosed home within the last 12 months, you may be eligible for up to $20,000 in loan funds to make improvements through the Foreclosed Home Improvement Program (FHIP)

If the owner lives in the home for at least 5 years, half of the amount will NOT have to be repaid! The other half is a 5% deffered loan that the owner does not have to pay until the owner sells the home or transfers title.
