Regional Trail Will Link Burnsville and Eagan.

The Dakota County Board of Commissioners is expected to approve a Minnesota River Greenway plan which would connect Burnsville and Eagan with a Riverfront Trail. The 17 mile trail will follow the river through Lilydale, Mendota Heights, Mendota, Eagan & Burnsville, creating a continuous trail from Lilydale State Park in St Paul to Scott County. The project will cost somwhere in the area of 12 million dollars, and the city has already received a million dollar federal grant for the trail which will run along Blackdog Rd & Interstate 35W east to Cedar Ave.
