The city of Harris is a farming community of approximately 1100 residents about 45 minutes straight north of the Twin Cities on Highway 35. It came to life as a stop on the railroad line that ran from the Twin Cities to Duluth and was named for Phillip Harris, an officer of the Duluth-St. Paul Railroad Line. Today it comes to life with its summer Farmer’s Market and popular Octoberfest.
