Had a great time with our son Austin, a third grader at Fernbrook Elementary School in Maple Grove, at their annual fund raiser for Susan G. Komen's Race For The Cure. We walked around the track along with the rest of his grade this morning. Proud to see that our Brokerage, Remax Results, on the flier there at the school. They've been, and continue to be a huge supporter of this charity. Later in the day Jill attended the walk/run with our other son, Travis, a first grader. Lots of fun, for a very good cause! On Thursday May 17th from 3pm to 7pm come inside the Maple Grove Community Center to enjoy a sneek peek of the 2012 Maple Grove Market outdoor season. Over 50 vendors will be selling and sampling items you will be able to find at their booths this season. These items will include fresh, seasonal produce, bedding plants, hanging baskets, artisan breads, baked goods, cheese, eggs and meat products, honey, canned nd pickled products, and so much more! Each item is vendor grown and produces.

Come and enjoy live music and tons of give-aways!

The 2012 outdoor season opens Thursday, June 14th and runs every Thursday through October 18th.

Cake Wars champion Nadia Cakes to open in Maple Grove

Nadia Cakes will be opening their 2nd store (1st location Palmdale,CA) in the Fountains, 11650 Fountains Drive- Suite 207 near Costco in Maple Grove, MN 55369. It is looking like an April/May opening. Nadia has moved her entire family to Maple Grove area to open the new bakery. When asked by the Maple Grove Patch why she chose Maple Grove she said, " We want to live here! Plain as that! We discovered Maple Grove on a cross country trip we took this summer and we fell in love and decided we wanted to live here. We love the culture, the beauty of the state, the schools, the people and the center and there are no great places out here to buy cakes and cupcakes, so we fill a niche".

Nadia recently won Cupcake Wars on Food Network. The Food Network it appears has approached her on some other future projects.
