Hollywood Theater is ready to be restored by the willing

The Hollywood Theater in Northeast Minneapolis opened in 1935 where excited movie buffs could sit down in one of the thousand seats and enjoy a cinema classic. Due to its location in a residential neighborhood rather than downtown, the theater took a financial hit and was forced to close in 1988. More than 2 decades later, there is hope that the Hollywood Theater, now owned by the City of Minneapolis, can be redeveloped. On June 2nd, 2012 from 1:00-5:00pm, you and your friends and family can tour the theater. This event is free and open to any prospective tenants and to the public. Location is 2815 Johnson Northeast in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
