The Central Community of Minneapolis consists of the five neighborhoods that form the heart of the city: Downtown East, Downtown West, Elliot Park, Loring Park, and North Loop. From the skyscrapers of Downtown West to the Guthrie Theater on the Mississippi River in Downtown East, from the converted warehouses of North Loop to the beautiful green spaces of Loring and Elliot Parks, the Central Community showcases the vibrant quality of life for which the city is famous. The area is bordered on the north by Plymouth Avenue North and the Mississippi River, on the east by Interstate 35W, and on the south and west by Interstate 94.
