Home Alone Workshop Presented by Plymouth Police and the Fire Department

It's always difficult to know when the right time is to allow your children to come home to an empty home or simply when they are old enough to be left home alone. It's recommended by the National SafeKids Campaign that no child under 12 should be left home alone.  Some states have adopted age restrictions as to when it is acceptable; Minnesota does not have an age limit.

The Plymouth Police and Fire Department is offering a workshop "Home Alone" from 6:30 - 8:15 p.m. on the 10th of May and also on June 14th at the Public Safefty Building located ta 3400 Plymouth Blvd.  Registration for the event is required.

This workshop will assist parents in evaluating if or when their child is ready, how to prepare the home and the child by creating rules and follow up measures to ensure the rules are being followed.
