Highland Park is a neighborhood located in the southwestern corner of the city of St. Paul.  This neighborhood is bordered by the Mississippi River on the west, south and east and the St. Paul neighborhood of Macalester-Groveland borders Highland Park on the north.

Highland Park currently is a mix of well-maintained older housing, commercial property, retail property, and light industrial buildings.  The Ford Motor plant is located in Highland Park along the scenic Mississippi river, but plans are currently in the works to develop the existing Ford Plant site.

The heart of Highland Park’s retail area runs along Ford Parkway between Snelling Avenue and the Mississippi River.  This very same location is home to the annual Highland Fest which is a three-day festival in July that offers live music, a carnival, and an art fair.

Highland Park is home to the public Highland Park Senior High School and the private Cretin-Derham Hall High School.
