Woodbury is a carefully planned suburb of approximately 58,000 residents located between St. Paul and the Wisconsin border. Although it is home to many corporations, large commercial districts and a fine hospital, convenient freeway access makes Woodbury a favorite commuter city. Originally a farming community, Woodbury quickly turned residential with the building boom of the 1950s. Despite the rapid growth of the city sixty years ago, there are many new developments and buildable land remains available, offering all types of housing from townhomes to acreage—including homes with golf course views. With more than 3,000 acres dedicated to parkland, the city provides 120 miles of trails, 40 parks and 8 lakes for myriad of recreational activities. Students are served by the South Washington County School District.
