The Fields of Woodbury, which is going to be the next phase of development in Woodbury, will not be ready just yet.  This 2150-acre area just South of Bailey Road to the Cottage Grove border has a few more hurdles to get over.  The city council recommended to re-evaluate the opening of Fields of Woodbury, citing lot inventory, economic data and developer activity.  The opening will most likely wait until end of Summer or Fall of this year.  Ryland Homes is eager to get moving forward. They have started 10 new housing projects all over the Twin Cities and they want to get started here in Woodbury.  There is also the Pioneer Road extension that will cross several properties, which is also a part of this decision making.  This $5 million project needs the cooperation of adjoining landowners and future development communities.  Woodbury's comprehensive plan is very detailed and this project will be reviewed and in re-evaluated in three months.
