Open Enrollment an Unlikely Option for Wayzata Schools in 2012-2013

Although an official announcement won't come for some time, Wayzata School District administrators expect a continuance of the 2011-2012 policy regarding open enrollment.  Policy for this year significantly limited the number of kindergarten open enrollments and closed the option altogether for grades 1-12.  Expect the same for next year, with any changes being to the more restrictive side, including potentially even less Kindergarten availability.

The policy is due in large part to continued development in the area, it's one of the few markets in the nation with a booming new construction business.  On the bright side for parents interested in registrations, low rates and prices make buying in the area more affordable than any time in recent decades.  There are values to be found in both new construction and existing homes alike.
