“To give real service you must add something which cannot be bought or measured with money, and that is sincerity and integrity.– Douglas Adams

Serving with sincerity and integrity is something you can expect from Bill Wallace.  He is a Microsoft sales veteran that served partners for 21 years helping them to build their accounting software consulting and sales businesses.  He was recognized for his success with 3 salesperson of the year awards and 14 100% club awards.  His success was achieved by taking the time to really listen to his client’s goals and desires and then to work hard to meet those needs.  Bill brings this same passion and energy to his real estate clients.

You can expect proactive communication, responsiveness to your needs and integrity delivered with a sense of humor from Bill.  He will take advantage of multiple technology mediums to find your dream home or to market your home and get you the best price possible.

In 2010, Bill sold 19 homes for over $4.5M in sales and earned recognition from RE/MAX Results for his strong results.

Professional Background

I worked at Great Plains Software/Microsoft for 21 years in sales & marketing roles around selling financial management software solutions through a channel of resellers.  It involved business planning, marketing planning, sales engagement, training and maintaining our corporate relationships with senior leaders of our resellers management teams.  Along the way I won more awards than any other outside salesperson in Great Plains/Microsoft's existance with 3 Salesperson of the Year awards, 14 - 100% club awards and a President's Award.  My success was only possible if my clients were successful at selling our products - much like a Realtor who is only successful by serving clients.

Working in a professional, corporate sales & marketing environment I think uniquely prepared me to be a Realtor as I have a proven track record of serving my clients to help them achieve success.  Being at Microsoft also put me at the cutting edge of technology which helped prepare me for a real estate industry that is relying more and more on using technology to serve clients.

Professional Interests

I have a strong interest in technology and how to use it to help both myself be more productive and help my clients with their real estate solutions.  In addition, I'm very interested in the use of social media to connect with family, friends and clients.

Personal Background

I was born in Minneapolis and lived in Fridley during my early years (where our house was destroyed by the 1965 tornadoes - my earliest memories).  At the age of 8 we moved to Rochester, MN where my dad worked at IBM and sparked my interest in technology.

I've been a resident of Dakota County for the past 25 years and live in Rosemount with my wife of 23 years (Sheri).  We have 3 kids, the last one whom we adopted 4 years ago from the Minnesota Waiting Children program.  This goes along with our 2 dogs.

I'm a strong believer in family first and have been fortunate to have jobs that allow me lots of flexibility to participate in and attend the vast majority of my children's events (I still think the elementary school halloween parades were my favorite).  Working from home isn't for everyone but I've been lucky to have had the opportunity to do that for the past 22 years.

Personal Interests

Outside of work I really enjoy -

  • Anything sports related - especially the Vikings, Twins, Gophers and following my son's baseball pursuits
  • Fishing
  • Gardening/Landscaping - following in my mom's footsteps
  • Home Improvement Projects - an excuse to buy more tools
  • Technology - staying on top of the latest software & gadgets
  • Real Estate & Investing - good thing I chose this career path
  • Cooking - I'm not that great but I've been the families primary cook for 23 years.  I do love my Rachel Ray cookbooks.

I really believe in the concept of being a lifetime learner.

Education

I salute the teachers that invested their time into my education.

  • Rochester John Marshall High School:1977-1980
  • University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management, BS-Businesss: 1980-1984
  • St. Thomas University, MBA Program: 2005-2009 (5 classes short)

Community Involvement

I definitely believe in contributing to the community around us.  Here are just a few of the ways I've done this in the past -

  • Evermoor Homeowners Association Vice President
  • Rosemount Baseball Boosters Board
  • Eagan Athletic Association Board
  • Youth Athletics Coach (Baseball, Basketball, Softball) - Eagan/Rosemount
  • Numerous Committees Rosmount United Methodist Church
  • Rosemount Boy Scout Troop 295

In addition, my wife Sheri and I are devoted to a number of charitable causes, especially related to providing food to people in need.  We support -

Finally, as parents who have adopted a teenager from the Minnesota Waiting Children program in 2007 we support -

I'd love to tell you more about any of these great organizations!
