It is my goal as your full service REALTOR® to provide you with exceptional service at all times. In addition to servicing clients in the entire Twin Cities Metro, I specialize in the entire Metro areas of the Twin Cities, including Woodbury, Oakdale, Cottage Grove, Hastings, White Bear Lake, Mahtomedi, Stillwater, Lake Elmo, Maplewood,  Shoreview, Arden Hills.  I also work in Western Wisconsin.  My local expertise, extensive real estate training, as well as my experience in the field, will benefit you whether you are serious about buying or selling a home at this time, or are a returning client checking out the many homeowner resources I offer.  I have a strong belief that keping myself educated is very important and a great contributor to my success.

 Both my e-PRO Certified Internet Professional and CRS designations offer my clients additional value!  You should be aware that out of more than 24,000 REALTORS in the state of Minnesota, only 704 of them have earned the e-PRO Certification.  

The Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) is the highest designation awarded to sales associates in the residential sales field. The CRS designation recognizes professional accomplishments in both experience and education.  I am very proud to have achieved this designation and my ability to offer the extra experience and education I attained in the process to my clients.  Less than 3% of the licensed REALTORS nationwide have achieved this accomplishment!

 In addition, I have been named a "Super Real Estate Agent"  for three years running by my clients and peers as published in both Mpls St Paul Magazine and Twin Cities Business Monthly, an honor shared by less than 2% of Minnesota's Licensed REALTORS®!  (Note:  The registered trademark symbol behind the all capitalized REALTOR® title means I am a member in good standing of the National Association of REALTORS - an important designation to be aware of.  I am also a member of the Minnesota Association of Realtors as well as the St. Paul Area Association of Realtors.)

 I also am a continuing member of the awesome Miracle Homes Program through Children's Miracle Network (CMN).  What this means is that I donate a portion of my commission from each transaction to CMN, which goes directly to Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare in St. Paul.

Tax Credit

 FIRST-TIME HOMEBUYERS TO GET BIG TAX CREDIT! First-time buyers can claim a credit worth $8,000 - or 10% of the home's value, whichever is less - on their 2008 or 2009 taxes. To qualify for the credit.           · The purchase must be completed between Jan. 1, 2009 and Nov. 30, 2009. · Buyers may not have owned a home for the past three years to qualify as "A first time" buyer. No requirement for repayment: repayment is now required only if the home is sold within the first 3 years. · Buyers must make less than $75,000 for singles or $150,000 for couples. (Higher-income buyers may receive a partial credit.) The credit is refundable, meaning tax filers see a refund of the full $8,000 even if their total tax bill - the amount of withholding they paid during the year plus anything extra they had to pony up when they filed their returns - was less than that amount.  Check with your tax advisor!


Especially For Seniors

Seniors encounter a wide variety of issues when they consider downsizing from their current home or relocating after retirement.  Because of this, seniors should be prepared to research the real estate market carefully to make sure they've addressed all the issues and are making the best decisions.

Seniors face many real estate decisions that are different than younger home buyers and sellers.  As many seniors reach the retirement age, they want to downsize and find real estate that does not require as much effort to keep up. However, this is not to say that all seniors want to move into assisted living or even a retirement community. There are many seniors who simply want a smaller home that is easier to manage. Staying close to family and friends is important to many seniors, while many move during their retirement years.

 Many studies have been performed, and it appears that older seniors, those who are over 65 years of age, tend to be more conservative when it comes to retirement and their real estate. Younger seniors, those 50-64 tend to be a little more liberal in their buying and selling of real estate as well as relocating.

 One of the biggest issues seniors face when entering the housing market again is that they have often lived in one home for a long period of time. In that situation, the senior will not be as up-to-date on the current state of the real estate market.  Add the emotion of selling their family home on top of that, and you have a buyer or seller in a very unique situation.

  Another issue that seniors often deal with is that they have a great deal of equity in their home, but little cash flow. Often, the best thing to do in this situation is to sell the home,  invest in a smaller home, and use the resulting proceeds to enjoy life throughout retirement.
