Why is it the best time to buy a home in the Twin Cities Area?
1. The time between Thanksgiving and Christmas seems to be slower in the Minnesota Real Estate market. Meaning the buyers have less competition and typically can save about 5-10% on a home over what they will pay after the 1st of the year leading into the Spring Market.
Coming into this time of year most Realtors are running into multiple offers on the offers they submit for buyers, and after the first of the year expect most homes to go into multiple offers situations again. Thus, the homes get bid up in price.
2. In the Twin Cites metro area its my belief that we are AT THE BOTTOM of the market right now. Prices will be higher for good as we move forward on the lower priced homes.
3. The interest rates are hovering close to 4% yet. (Huge savings on the life of your loan and payment).
Investors are buying up the cheap homes right now!!! While a lot of regular buyers such as first time home buyers are using the busy-ness of the Holiday season and a reason to wait! I am going to continue my once a week broken record trend of telling you to buy now if you can!!!!
