Earlier this week we had a spring replaced on our garage door. The technician observed that we were using a CFL (compact flourescent lightbulb) on the garage door opener lights. It was recommended that I replace them with a "Rough Service" light bulb. I was told that the CFL bulb has a tendency to burn out garage door opener circuit boards (roughly a $150 repair).
