Two Unfolding Trends

Consider these two developing trends in the real estate market and what they might mean to you:

1. The number of buyers paying cash for property is on the uptick. Is this another sign the bottom is near? Cash buyers tend to be more financially savy than the average buyer. Are stocks too high relative to real estate? Is an increase in cash buyers and further indication the economy as a who may bounce?

2. Down payment amounts requirements are rising. How much will this affect homebuyers who must finance? Will this dynamic bolster an already robust rental market and is this part of the impetus for cash buyers picking up additional properties?
