Local Government

The Greenfield City Council is responsible for administrative and legislative oversight of all city business. The council consists of the Mayor and four other councilmembers, which meet on the first and third Tuesday of each month.

City History

The area that would become present day Greenfield was first organized as a community within Greenwood Township. The city was officially incorporated on March 14th, 1958, and since has grown into a city of approximately 3,000 residents.
