Welcome to Tyrol Hills! Find Your Place Here.

Tyrol Hills is Golden Valley’s most easterly neighborhood. Bordered on the west by Hwy 100, on the south by 394, on the north by Glenwood Ave and on the east by Theodore Wirth Park. Theodore Wirth Park, an incredible asset to Tyroll Hills and the city of Golden Valley, is the largest park managed by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board and spans 759 acres. This park offers a multitude of activities including two golf courses, the Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden and Bird Sanctuary, Quaking Bog, and plenty of trails for walking in the summer and cross-country skiing and snow tubing in the winter. It is also part of the Grand Rounds Scenic Byway, a fantastic, 50-mile-long trail system that interconnects numerous parks throughout Minneapolis, including the Chain of Lakes, the riverfront (downtown and along West River Parkway), and parks in North and Northeast Minneapolis. Having such a highly regarded recreation area nearby is part of what makes Tyrol Hills such a special neighborhood. Cedar Lake, downtown, uptown, and The Walker Art Center are all also just a short distance away and can easily be accessed by bike, foot, or car.  This neighborhood is located in the award winning Hopkins school district, there are also several popular private schools that are easily accessible including Breck School and Benilde-St.Margaret’s.  While some homes in this neighborhood were built in the early 1900’s, most homes were built in the 1940s and 195s, are spacious, and situated on generously sized parcels filled with mature trees. The architectural style of homes in this neighborhood ranges from Tudor to Mid-Century Modern, offering something for every taste.  With its close proximity to downtown and outdoor recreation areas, Tyroll Hills offers the best of in-town and suburban living all rolled into one desirable community.
