City History

The Village of Luck was first settled as two separate communities in 1869. The two settlements, Luck and West Denmark, squabbled over which community would serve as the town’s center upon their inevitable unification. Luckily for Luck, a rail line was established closer to their settlement than that of West Denmark, settling the issue once and for all. The two communities were incorporated as one in 1905. Today, just over 1,000 residents call this spectacular village home.
