The district is home to one of the nationās most challenging high schools, providing students with the knowledge and life skills to excel regardless of their professional aspirations. This district is also home to competitive athletic programs and state-of-the-art technology in the classroom.
Though there is no public transportation service in North Hudson, residents can take advantage of Metro Transit Park and Ride lots located in Woodbury, MN to commute into the downtown districts of the Twin Cities.
The North Hudson Village Board of Trustees is a seven-member board that presides over all village business. From deciding on policies and ordinances to allocating budget dollars, the board is responsible for all legislative and administrative oversight within the village, and meets on the first Tuesday of every month.
Development of North Hudson began in 1871 as the railroad reached the area. Rail car shops sprang up in the 1890s, prompting Italian immigrants to flock to the town for work. Because of this population boom, North Hudson was incorporated into a village in 1912, and retains that government system to this day. The village is now home to approximately 4,000 residents.
