Twin Cities Mortgage Market

A bit of discerning news from Zillow today:  42% of home owners with mortgages in the Twin Cities are underwater, meaning they owe more than their home is worth.  Any improvements in the overall real estate market will be hampered by this high number.  Being underwater is the second most common reason why home owners walk away from their homes, with unaffordable payments being the leading cause.  If you are selling, it is certainly important to be working with an agent who is on top of his difficult siituation, and to be realistic about the market price of your home.
