Named after the original owner of the town site, Hammond, WI was first settled in 1856. Within two years a post office was built and has been in operation ever since. One fun and quirky element of Hammond History has to be the Running of the Llamas. Started in 1997, this annual event and festival is a fun and exciting spectacle for the whole family! Hammond is currently home to approximately 2,000 residents, and is a spectacular community in which to plant your roots.
