2012 Oakdale Housing Market Update and the Selling of Your Home

 

 

The 2012 Oakdale housing market has positively shifted with now being the best time in years to sell. The following statistics are for May 2011 thru April 2012 compared to May 2010 thru April 2011.

  1. New listings on the market are down 13.6%.
  2. Closed sales have increased by 3%.
  3. The month’s supply of homes for sale decreased 28.3% down to a 4.2 months’ supply of homes. This means it has shifted from a buyer’s market to a seller’s market, which increases sale prices.
  4. The Average Days on Market until Sale (now 125 days) for an Oakdale home has decreased 1.7%.
