My background is REAL ESTATE, REAL ESTATE, REAL ESTATE!! Starting off with a background in Appraising, turned out to be a huge advantage! I quickly rose to the top as "Rookie of the Year with Edina Realty in 1986-87. There were consistent awards, education designations, and lots of hard work over the next 10 years. It was important to me to constantly find better ways to make the "home buying" and "home selling" experience better for all the wonderful families I was lucky enough to work with.
1996 to 2001, presented new challenges as I relocated to Singapore with my family. What an experience! While there was plenty to keep me busy, like joining the Singapore Flower Club; Volunteering at the Singapore American School; Volunteering for the American Women's Association; Traveling and Learning the art of Asian Cooking among many other things, I found time to start a Relocation Company and consulted with Allied Pickford's, moving company. This gave a whole new insite into "Relocation". I not only helped American families with their transition, I helped families relocate all over the world.
Upon our return to the Twin Cities in 2001, I joind Re/Max Results and we purchased a somewhat neglected older home in the heart of St. Paul's Crocus Hill neighborhood. I love the Crocus Hill neighborhood and learning to renovate an older home was another challenging experience which has provided me with a new set of skills to pass on to my buyers and sellers.
Although the past decade has had it's ups and downs, my business has remained strong. It was very important to me to find a way to "Help Homeowners" through this difficult time of loan modifications, short sale and above all find ways to avoid foreclosure and retain property value!
