Kick-off and Training Ride, May 22nd!
Mark your calendars for May 22nd at 9:00 a.m. Erik’s Bike Shop will host the RE/MAX Results official kick off of the Hartford Breast Cancer Ride presented by RE/MAX Results at their Bloomington warehouse facility. This will be the perfect opportunity to find out all the ins and outs of this August 7th and 8th event.
Marshall comments “the ride is a great way to get out, get fit, connect with past and present clients and contacts and do something that could change the world for the better! Who among us does not know someone who has been affected by breast cancer? This is a disease that can be conquered, not only through dollars and research but by RE/MAX Results Sales Executives, staff, friends and family members coming together and smiling and sweating and having a great time. The ride may seem daunting to some, but with a decent training routine in advance you will be amazed at what you can accomplish. I mean, come one, if you can handle the real estate market of the last two years you can do anything, right?”
Erik and his staff will be on hand to give out information (and discounts) on a variety of inexpensive and mid-range cycling package options. A spokesperson from the organizers of the ride will speak about the benefactors and take us through the cycling route (with the RE/MAX Results Apple Valley office as one of the pit stops) and all of the weekend festivities. During this two day event you will definitely be well fed, cared for and entertained! At the kick off we will also talk about our future training rides which will take us to all parts of the Twin Cities over the next couple of months.

Last weekend began our Summer Saturday Cycling Rides.
This Saturday’s cycling ride will immediately follow the kickoff to “The Hartford Breast Cancer Ride Presented by RE/MAX Results”. The kickoff begins at 9:00 a.m. at Erik’s Bike Shop warehouse in Bloomington. The address for this event is 9201 Penn Avenue South, Bloomington, 55431.
The cycling ride will take off from the north parking lot of Lake Nokomis at 11:00 a.m. We will follow the popular route through Minnehaha Falls, north on West Mississippi Blvd, west on the Greenway Trail, around the lakes of Calhoun and Harriet and east on Minnehaha Blvd. back to Lake Nokomis. This 18 mile route is geared for all experience levels and should be completed within 2 hours (with a few stops here and there).
You need not be participating on the August ride event to join in on the fun. No need to RSVP – just grab a friend, family member, neighbor or colleague and show up ready to go. The parking is free. Lynn Foulke will be leading the ride this Saturday so should you have questions, need directions or need to connect – call or text her at 612-382-5322.
Future reminders for the Saturday rides will be delivered via the RE/MAX Insider and our social media sites. Each ride will be consistently scheduled between the hours of 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. A comprehensive schedule of meeting places, routes and terrain will be available soon. Just plug yourself in any Saturday that works for you.
