The Andover Community Center provides fun for the whole family
The Andover Community Center and YMCA is a “Gem” for the city of Andover and its residents. It is located in the middle of Andover at 15200 Hanson Blvd with the city trail system leading to it. Oak View Middle school and Andover Elementary school are within walking distance for kids using the facility after school. The YMCA offers multiple group classes like Zumba, BodyStep, BodyPump, Yoga, and Pilates. There is a array of workout equipment, and a swimming pool, with waterslides. Swimming lessons are also available periodically. Andover residents get a number of free passes to use at the club through the year or memberships are reasonable priced. The Community Center is attached to the YMCA and offers a 3 court gym, which can be used for basketball, soccer, or volleyball. Many open gym times are available for the public. The public is able to schedule one of the meeting rooms for various activities. On the other end of the building is an ice rink for hockey and open skating. It is also the home rink for the high school hockey teams. The Community Center also hosts different programs for younger children and it also offers a walking club for adults. It is a great facility always bustling with activity but not crowded. It is a great place to meet other residents and provides opportunities for kids to have constructive activities.
