When deciding where a family or individual wants to live there are a lot of factors that come into making that decision. considerations include distants to work, where your friends and family live, roads and freeways that are available, and a location that complements what you enjoy doing in your leasure time.  I believe that Elk River offers it all. Let me tell you why. Several major highways  169, Hwy 101, Hwy 10  and only a few miles to I-94. So, it might be a few extra miles from other cities it is worth the drive.this is a small list of things you can do in the Elk River area. Biking, hiking, cross country trails. Plus boating, fishing, Hunting, camping, canoeing, snowmobiling, 4 wheeling, swimming and my favorite horseback riding. all of this is in the city of Elk River or very close by.
