Santa is coming to Uptown!!
Attention all East Calhoun property owners, the East Calhoun Community Organization is giving away free money...that’s right free $$$$. They are inviting all homeowners to participate in a residential improvement initiative offered through the Neighborhood Revitalization Program, (NRP).
Eligible improvements include energy efficiency upgrades (windows, doors, furnaces, insulation, etc.) and/or a variety or exterior repairs. These programs are available to both owner occupied occupied and absentee owned properties.
Here’s the deal:
Program #1 is a matching grant program with a maximum grant of $3000 per property. The owner puts in 75% of the funds to 25% NRP funds. For example, on a $10,000 project, the owner must contribute $7500 and NRP will contribute $2500. There is NO income limit for this program.
Program #2 is a low interest loan program. They offer a 4% fixed interest rate loan with flexible terms. the maximum loan amount is $7500. Income limits may apply.
Better hurry though, the Center for energy is looking for applications (including bids and proof of income) to be in by January 14, 2011.
