If you own a home in Minnesota, most likely your property taxes will go up! The state is changing the way it gives property relief to homeowners. To see how it works, watch this video by MPR:  

The state of Minnesota 2011 Legislature eliminated the Homestead Market Value Credit (the homestead credit), and replaced it with a new Homestead Market Value Exclusion. This will take effect for property taxes payable in 2012.
